This should be bundled with FCP X!
I cant agree with the reviews that says that this introduction needs to be easier to understand. Im not sure how much easier it could get without overexplaining things. True, it may be slightly over the heads of people who are complete rookies to video editing or people who arent used to complex production tools, but those people should not be using FCP anyway. If you have difficulty understanding this, dont buy FCP. Start off with iMovie and then graduate to FCP if you feel like you actually need the extra power.
Before I found this video, I stumbled around in the dark and was becoming one of those people who was regretting the expense of buying Final Cut Pro X, but after watching this, it all made a lot more sense and Im starting to like FCP X more. Im not yet at the level at which Im going to say I love FCP X, but I have much less buyers remorse than I did a few weeks ago and if my first real video project on FCP X goes well, Ill owe a lot of thanks to this video.
If you have sound fundamentals in using video editing software, you should find this to be the perfect overview to get you acquainted with FCP X. There might be a spot or two where he goes on longer than he needs to about a certain feature that should be easy to understand, but for the most part you wont have the urge to fast forward through entire segments of the overview.
